Up for sale is my 1992 Mustang 5.0 LX Convertible SALEEN Clone. This is a car that you do not see coming and going on the street everyday. It is my daily driver and it runs like a champ. I have added the SALEEN ground effects kit to the body (it is a real SALEEN uerethane kit). I added all of the correct stripes and SALEEN letters where they should be. The wheels are 4 lug 17″ SALEEN replica wheels and are in like new condition. The fronts are 17X8 with 225/45/17 tires on them and the rears are 17X9 with 275/40/17 tires on them. All tires are in good condition. The springs have been changes to Ford Motorsport B springs and the car handles and rides nicely. The paint is mostly original on the car and still in really nice condition for its age. This car spent most of its life in a garage before I acquired it, and is garaged now. There are a couple of dents on the drivers side that could use some PDR attention, but overall the body is very straight with tight gaps all around. The paint on the rear bumper could use some attention, it has a couple of spots that can be seen in the pictures. The interior is nice but will benefit from some additional cleaning. I have a set of Escort GT seats in the front, with the halo headrests, because they closely mimic the correct SALEEN seats and they are very comfortable. I have the original front seats as well as an additional set of pretty nice original covers. Most people who look at this car cannot believe that I drive it daily and it turns heads everywhere I drive it. I have the front bumper filler piece to cover the MUSTANG lettering in the front bumper(correct for a SALEEN) but it isn’t installed yet. Also, since these pictures were taken, I have installed all new headlights in the front, this cleaned it up a lot. I also have brand new front struts and rear shocks that haven’t been installed yet. All of the windows work correctly, as do the door lock actuators. This car is a nice example of what a fox body should be.

Within the last 18 months the heater core has been replaced. The front brakes were replaced and slotted/drilled rotors were added. The AC was converted to 134A, and has a new AC clutch, and blows ice cold. The radiator, fan, and fan clutch were also replaced. This car is ready to be driven and enjoyed.

The one issue with the car is the top. The seam has split on the right side. I have black tape on it now to keep out the elements, and it hides it mostly, but it will need to be replaced. Also, the top motor is unhooked right now because it quit working (it was like that when I bought the car and I just put it down manually), but I have another one that works that will go along with the car.

This is a nice car and these are becoming harder to find. While it is not an original SALEEN fox body convertible, it is a very convincing replica, and a car that you can enjoy.

Please feel free to call/text/e-mail with any questions or to come by and take a look.

I do not need any help selling this car. Thanks.
